Senior Psychologist & Director

Psychologist

Emma Fuller is a registered psychologist and Director of The Psychological Pause. She has been working in the Casey/Cardinia area for many years, with training completed in both Canada and Melbourne, including at Monash University.

Emma brings a depth of experience alongside a genuine curiosity about people and the patterns that shape how we think, feel, and relate. Her work is grounded in creating a space where you can slow down, feel deeply understood, and begin to make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface.

Her approach is warm, collaborative, and integrative. She works from the understanding that when we begin to recognise our psychological needs — and the ways we’ve adapted to meet them — we can respond to ourselves with greater compassion, clarity, and choice.

Emma takes a holistic, trauma-informed approach, recognising the connection between mind and body and the importance of supporting the whole person. Therapy is thoughtfully tailored, with a focus on building insight, strengthening internal resources, and creating meaningful, sustainable change.

She draws on a range of evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Ego State Therapy, and Somatic Therapy, integrating these in a way that is responsive to each individual.

As Director, Emma is passionate about creating a practice that feels calm, considered, and genuinely human — a place where both clients and clinicians can pause, reflect, and do meaningful work.

If you’re considering therapy, you’re warmly invited to reach out and explore whether this feels like the right fit for you.

Rosie Batten

Psychologist/ Supervisor

Rosie believes that connection is the most important part of therapy, and she takes the time to really get to know her clients in a style that is warm, curious and non-judgemental. Through creating an environment of security and acceptance, she works alongside her clients to identify what brings them to therapy now and to develop goals for their future.

Rosie’s therapy style encourages her clients to explore how events across their life have led them to this point now. Her clients are invited to identify coping strategies they have used in the past that are no longer serving them, and what barriers get in the way of moving in the direction they want to go. She then works collaboratively with her clients to rediscover their individual strengths and to develop new ways to cope with life’s challenges.

Rosie brings over 13 years of experience of working as a psychologist to her work with her clients. She draws from a range of therapy techniques and is an experienced EMDR therapist, and she will explore with her clients what form of therapy is a good fit for them as an individual.

Tavleen Kaur

I’m a registered psychologist, with experience across private practice, youth mental health, and school settings. I support adults navigating anxiety, low mood, stress, trauma, and life transitions.

I aim to create a calm, considered space where you can pause, feel deeply heard, and begin to understand yourself in a more meaningful way. Therapy with me is collaborative and gently paced. We take the time to explore what’s sitting beneath the surface, not just what’s immediately visible.

My work draws on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy. I bring these together in a way that feels practical, grounded, and tailored to you, supporting you to recognise patterns, respond to yourself differently, and create change that feels sustainable over time.

Having worked in both Australia and India, I bring a culturally aware and flexible perspective, and value meeting each person with openness, curiosity, and respect for their individual story.
