Emma Fuller
Senior Psychologist & Director
Emma Fuller is a registered psychologist and Director of The Psychological Pause.
Emma works with adults who are often highly capable on the outside, yet internally carry anxiety, overwhelm, emotional exhaustion, relationship difficulties, trauma responses, overthinking, people-pleasing, or a sense of disconnection from themselves. Many of the people she works with have spent years coping, pushing through, or looking after others, while struggling to understand why life still feels so hard beneath the surface.
Her work focuses on helping people make sense of the deeper patterns shaping their emotional world, relationships, nervous system responses, and sense of self. This includes exploring how early experiences, attachment dynamics, trauma, and protective coping strategies continue to influence the present day. Emma has a particular interest in supporting clients to build emotional regulation, self-awareness, self-compassion, and a stronger internal sense of safety and connection.
Emma brings a depth of experience alongside a genuine curiosity about people and the patterns that shape how we think, feel, and relate. Her approach is warm, collaborative, and deeply human. She aims to create a space where clients can slow down, feel understood, and begin to reconnect with themselves in a more compassionate and grounded way.
Her work is holistic, trauma-informed, and integrative, recognising the connection between mind, body, emotions, relationships, and the nervous system. Therapy is thoughtfully tailored to the individual, with a focus on creating meaningful and sustainable change rather than simply managing symptoms.
Emma draws on a range of evidence-based approaches including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), EMDR, Ego State Therapy, attachment-based approaches, and somatic therapies, integrating these in a way that is responsive to each person’s needs.
As Director, Emma is passionate about creating a practice that feels calm, reflective, and genuinely supportive; a space where both clients and clinicians can pause, breathe, and do meaningful work.
If you’re considering therapy, you’re warmly invited to reach out and explore whether this feels like the right fit for you.
Rosie Batten
Psychologist/ Supervisor
Rosie believes that connection is the most important part of therapy, and she takes the time to really get to know her clients in a style that is warm, curious and non-judgemental. Through creating an environment of security and acceptance, she works alongside her clients to identify what brings them to therapy now and to develop goals for their future.
Rosie’s therapy style encourages her clients to explore how events across their life have led them to this point now. Her clients are invited to identify coping strategies they have used in the past that are no longer serving them, and what barriers get in the way of moving in the direction they want to go. She then works collaboratively with her clients to rediscover their individual strengths and to develop new ways to cope with life’s challenges.
Rosie brings over 13 years of experience of working as a psychologist to her work with her clients. She draws from a range of therapy techniques and is an experienced EMDR therapist, and she will explore with her clients what form of therapy is a good fit for them as an individual.
Tavleen Kaur
Psychologist
Tavleen is a registered psychologist, with experience across private practice, youth mental health, and school settings. She supports adults navigating anxiety, low mood, stress, trauma, and life transitions.
Tav aims to create a calm, considered space where you can pause, feel deeply heard, and begin to understand yourself in a more meaningful way. Therapy with Tav is collaborative and gently paced. We take the time to explore what’s sitting beneath the surface, not just what’s immediately visible.
Tav’s work draws on evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Schema Therapy. She brings these together in a way that feels practical, grounded, and tailored to you, supporting you to recognise patterns, respond to yourself differently, and create change that feels sustainable over time.
Having worked in both Australia and India, Tav brings a culturally aware and flexible perspective, and values meeting each person with openness, curiosity, and respect for their individual story.
